Our local food bank assists area food pantries which in turn, helps the families served by TVCRN. In addition, many of our parents take nutritional cooking classes offered through the Southeast Oregon Services branch.
This non-profit serves women and youth throughout the Treasure
Valley, especially runaways and homeless youth. Often times, this organization will have a
young female, teen-aged client who is expecting or who is the mother of an infant or toddler,
and HHM is quick to refer them to us for services. Additionally, HHM has teens who are
obligated to perform Community Service hours, so TVCRN has access to some additional
“volunteer” help.
This non-profit serves our community two ways: First, the profits from this
business fund the work of the Four Rivers (Free) Health Clinic. Next, community members
are able to purchase second-hand materials, appliances, and hardware at a fraction of
the cost of new. At TVCRN, we refer our families to the clinic and to CBS.
TVCRN enjoys a wonderful relationship with our local
institution of higher education. TVCRN will continue to access training and education offered by
TVCC as needed and will offer opportunities for learning to student interns and volunteers.
Additionally, we seek the counsel of TVCC BizCenter staff as needed.
Its mission is to mobilize the Church to transform lives and
communities in the Name of Christ. Gap Ministries is an outreach that helps provide families
with needs not met by agencies or government entities such as the need for services
(transportation assistance, haircuts, home repairs) or products (furniture, hygiene products,
medical equipment). Love, INC is a good friend to the nursery!
This organization was instrumental in the
formation and certification of TVCRN. This agency is a tremendous resource to those of us
working to help children and families.
Sometimes the crisis a family is experiencing is
tied to domestic violence or sexual assault. Project DOVE offers “safety through shelter and
support.” In addition, DOVE’s Unique Boutique, a thrift store, generously allows our parents to
obtain gently-used clothing free of charge when needed.
TVCRN has collaborated with this agency since our
inception. TVCRN wants to contribute to our region’s early childhood system as a significant
resource for families in crisis. Some of these families may find themselves in the DHS system.
