Our Story & Mission

Serving families with compassion since 2008

What makes Treasure Valley Children’s Relief Nursery different from other early childhood programs is our therapeutic, two-generation approach. We don’t just focus on school readiness—we provide therapeutic classrooms designed for children experiencing stress or trauma, along with in-home education, parent education, and family support services. This means we serve the whole family, not just the child. By addressing mental health, resilience, and family stability alongside early learning, we help children thrive and families feel supported in every aspect of their journey.

At Treasure Valley Children’s Relief Nursery, we believe families are strongest when they feel supported. We provide therapeutic early learning, in-home education, and family connection programs so that every child has the opportunity to thrive, and every parent feels equipped for the journey ahead.

Who We Serve

Families across Malheur County and the Treasure Valley

  • Children ages six weeks to five years

Our programs are designed for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers during the most critical years of brain development. Early intervention at this age helps children build strong social and emotional skills before starting kindergarten.

  • Families facing poverty and housing instability

Many parents in Ontario and surrounding communities struggle with financial hardship or unstable housing. We provide consistent childcare and parenting support that help families create routines, reduce stress, and focus on long-term stability.

  • Parents navigating substance use or incarceration

When a parent is in recovery or incarceration, children face additional emotional and developmental risks. Through outreach, parenting classes, and partnerships like Dads 4 Life, we help maintain healthy parent-child bonds and give families tools to heal together.

  • Children in foster care or at risk of removal

Relief nursery services can help stabilize families and reduce the need for foster placement. For children already in foster care, our therapeutic classrooms provide a consistent, nurturing environment that promotes healing from trauma.

  • Families in crisis who need immediate support

Our outreach and respite services offer short-term relief when parents feel overwhelmed. By stepping in during difficult moments, we help prevent neglect or abuse and guide families toward long-term resources.
