Treasure Valley Children’s Relief Nursery offers free and low-cost parenting classes designed to give caregivers the skills, confidence, and support they need. These programs help families across Malheur County and the Treasure Valley build stronger relationships and create healthier homes.

Empowering parents through education and support

Our Parent Education Program recognizes that parenting is one of the most important — and most challenging — jobs in life. We offer group workshops, one-on-one coaching, and supportive learning opportunities tailored to the needs of local families. Sessions focus on positive parenting techniques, child development, stress management, and building stronger family connections. Classes are open to all caregivers, whether or not their children are enrolled in other Relief Nursery programs.

  • Who can join the parenting classes?

    Any parent or caregiver in Malheur County or the Treasure Valley can attend our classes. You do not need to have a child enrolled in another Relief Nursery program to participate. We welcome parents, grandparents, guardians, and other family members who play a role in caring for children.

  • Are the classes really free?

    Yes, most of our parenting classes are completely free to families. Some special workshops may have a small fee, but we ensure that no parent is ever turned away because of cost. Our mission is to make support accessible to all families, regardless of financial circumstances.

  • What kinds of topics are covered in the workshops?

    Our workshops cover a wide range of parenting challenges such as behavior management, child development, communication, and stress reduction. We also provide resources for parents to practice these skills at home, so the benefits continue well beyond the classroom.
