Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about our Parent Education Program
Who can join the parenting classes?
Any parent or caregiver in Malheur County or the Treasure Valley can attend our classes. You do not need to have a child enrolled in another Relief Nursery program to participate. We welcome parents, grandparents, guardians, and other family members who play a role in caring for children.
Are the classes really free?
Yes, most of our parenting classes are completely free to families. Some special workshops may have a small fee, but we ensure that no parent is ever turned away because of cost. Our mission is to make support accessible to all families, regardless of financial circumstances.
What kinds of topics are covered in the workshops?
Our workshops cover a wide range of parenting challenges such as behavior management, child development, communication, and stress reduction. We also provide resources for parents to practice these skills at home, so the benefits continue well beyond the classroom.
How often are the classes offered?
Classes are held throughout the year, with some offered monthly and others as multi-week series. We announce upcoming sessions on our website, in our newsletter, and through social media so families can plan ahead. Childcare may be provided during some classes to make attendance easier for parents.
How do I register for a class?
Registration is simple and can be done by contacting Treasure Valley Children’s Relief Nursery by phone or through our website. Our staff will walk you through the process, answer any questions, and help you find the right class for your needs. If you are unsure which class to take, we can recommend one based on your family’s goals.
